What’s better than one superstar female rapper? Well, two. Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion teamed up for a second song “Bongos”, following their 2020 smash hit, “WAP”. For “Bongos” the formula was similar: infectious beats and top notch visuals. One thing we’ve learned about Cardi and Megan is that they live for music videos that are equal parts jaw dropping and visually appealing. “Bongos” definitely did not disappoint in both categories.

The theme for “Bongos” was sexy, summer getaway on the beach with Cardi and Megan in ornate cutout one pieces, sky high heels and an abundance of standout accessories by Cardi’s longtime stylist, Kollin Carter. 

Another aspect of the mesmerizing music video was the attention to detail for all things beauty. Throughout the visuals we see long flowing 40” jet black middle parts hairstyles, big voluminous locks, and larger than life fiery red curls styled by Tokyo Stylez and Kellon Deryk. Cardi even wore a nude illusion red braided body suit created by Calechie. 

Makeup for “Bongo’s” followed the same larger-than-life theme with super glossy magenta lips, sharp as a knife cat eyes and dewy, glowy skin by makeup artists Erika LaPearl and Lorvida.

40″ Middle Parted

The opening scene of “Bongos” features Cardi in 3 custom House of JMC vibrant bodysuits back-to-back where the superstar rapper rocks a 40″ middle part straight hairstyle. This look paired perfectly with the dramatic custom hats by Harris Reed.

Braided Bodysuit

Cardi’s stylist, Kollin Carter fell in love with this custom Calechie look as soon as he saw it. He had the braided bodysuit changed from black to red and added gold trinkets as accents.

Sleek Ponytail

Emilio Pucci created a special custom print for the music video as well as sending over every single yard of fabric to drape the room. For this vibrant scene, Cardi went for a long sleek ponytail.

Fiery Red Curls

For her eye catching beachfront scene, Cardi rocked big red curls which made a fun statement along with her standout accessories and 15 inch custom Carolin Holzhuber heels.

Retro Bob

Megan went for a retro look with this cute flipped up bob topped with an ornate turban by Matthew Wreisman.

Sexy Voluminous Curls

For her high powered dance scene, Megan heated up the screen in a long, jet black loose curled ‘do.
