Four of this summer’s most highly anticipated foundation drops are now officially out. With releases from beauty brands Glossier, Youthforia, MAC Cosmetics, and Fenty Beauty, you can count on these new foundations for light-to-medium coverage and, of course, inclusive shade ranges.

In addition to being amazing complexion-evening products, these foundations also claim to have skin-enhancing ingredients which complement your skincare routine. One foundation even claims to be suitable for falling asleep in. We’ve yet to try it out, but we’re definitely interested!

Here are four new foundation releases you should check out.

Glossier Stretch Fluid Foundation

Glossier’s complexion category just got a new addition: Stretch Fluid Foundation. With 32 shades spanning offerings for five different undertones—neutral, pink, golden, red, and peach— Stretch Fluid Foundation is made for all skin types. If you’re familiar with Glossier’s Perfecting Skin Tint, which provides sheer coverage, Stretch Fluid Foundation turns it up a notch for breathable light-to-medium coverage.

It’s a skincare-based, gel-cream foundation that looks like skin and wears for up to 12 hours. Ingredients include plant-derived squalane and glycerin to moisturize and nourish the skin’s moisture barrier, and wild rose berry paired with plankton to balance excess shine while keeping your skin hydrated. It also claims to be crease-, sweat- and transfer-resistant. This foundation retails at $34 (30ml/1 fl oz.)

MAC’s new Studio Radiance Serum-Powered Foundation

MAC Cosmetic’s first new liquid foundation in 10 years is finally here: Studio Radiance Serum-Powered Foundation. The latest addition to MAC’s Studio Fix line is a sheerer and glowier version of MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid Foundation. It’s still that lightweight feel we love from this line, but it has a natural matte look that provides medium-to-full buildable coverage that comes in—wait for it—56 shades.

Skincare ingredients in the new foundation include a ten percent hyaluronic acid solution, olive and jojoba oils to condition skin, protective vitamin E, and more. It gets its name thanks to MAC’s “Artist-Curated Radiance Blend,” made from silver and gold pearlescent particles which give the skin a radiant look. The foundation retails for $46 (30ml/1 fl oz.)

Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Stick Blur + Smooth Tint Stick Foundation

Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty broke the internet in 2017 when it became one of the first beauty brands to launch with an already extensive and inclusive foundation range featuring 40 shades. While the brand’s new Ease Drop Stick Blur + Smooth Tint Stick Foundation has a shade range offering just over half of that (25 shades), Rihanna’s deemed this perfect for the “no makeup-makeupers” who want light coverage foundation with a skincare-forward formula.

Unlike previous foundations, this comes in a stick format, but don’t let that fool you—it still has a creamy application for a second-skin-like finish. This foundation retails for $35 (0.32 oz. / 9g.)

Youthforia DATE NIGHT SKIN TINT SERUM FOUNDATION

@youthforia

Such a beautiful texture and formula! One of our team’s fave hacks is to use a darker shade as contour so that you get the same glass skin texture all over your face! #youthforiafoundation #youthforiadatenight #youthforia

Youthforia just launched what the brand claims to be “the first foundation you can sleep in.” Sure you can technically fall asleep in any makeup, but it’s often not good for your skin. Youthforia’s Date Night Skin Tint Serum Foundation is dermatologist-tested to be safe to sleep in given the foundation is made with ingredients that won’t irritate your skin after long periods of time. Some of those ingredients include a “Sebum Control Complex” to help prevent your sebum from dissolving your makeup, a “Patented Tannin Complex” to help reduce pore size and control sebum production after two weeks of use, and adenosine which is known for its anti-wrinkle, skin-smoothing, and soothing benefits.

Youthforia marks the smallest and newest brand on this list, and accordingly, it offers the smallest range of foundations on this list with 15 shade options, but makeup users have begun calling on the brand to expand its shade range for deeper skin tones. This foundation retails for $48 (5.5 fl oz.)
