It’s Ice Spice’s Barbie World, we’re just living in it.
The 23-year-old rapper from The Bronx is hands-down having the best year ever. After getting her start in music in 2021, the young star rose on the scene just last year with her smash hit “Munch”, catapulting her to fame. Ice Spice’s debut EP “Like…?” followed this past January and it’s been uphill since then. This year alone, the People’s Princess of Rap collaborated with heavy hitters, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift. Ice Spice attended her first MET Gala this past May and had THE song of the summer, “Barbie World” off of the blockbuster movie, Barbie. This song marked Ice Spice’s second collaboration with her idol, Nicki Minaj. Talk about a Hot Girl Summer.

Ice Spice’s meteoric rise to fame has no sign of stopping anytime soon. She recently won Best New Artist at MTV’s Video Music Awards and has covers for Teen Vogue, Billboard, Variety and Paper Magazine under her belt. There is still more to come. It was announced that Ice Spice has four Grammy nominations including Best New Artist and “Barbie World” with Nicki Minaj. We can’t wait to see what the confident rap princess does next.
