Coachella brings out talented artists who are household names right along with others who are much more underground. The popular festival has also become an epicenter of fashion and beauty for both talent and festival goers. Coachella brings all the style risk-takers and beauty trendsetters to the yard!

We rounded up the top beauty trends spotted on-stage at this year’s Coachella worn by women of color. Whether they are seasoned singers or rookie rappers, these women wowed us with their hair, makeup and even nail choices. ICE SPICE

Sporting her now signature orange mane styled in long waves with a deep curved side part and a flawless set (of nails) to match, Ice Spice is ready to hit the stage.

Cascading curls paired with ombre auburn and honey blonde highlights were stunning on the singer. She rounded out her glam with a natural beat (makeup was provided by Fenty) but took it up a notch with unexpected orange rhinestone accents near her eyes.

Long, chestnut brown and carefree beach waves plus light and barely there appearing makeup is all this Columbian pop star needs to wow the crowd. Her electrifying dance moves don’t hurt either.

With a nod to ’90s beauty trends (heavily lined lips, thinner eyebrows and long acrylic nails), Tems completed her look with a bounty-full of curly tresses in a high ponytail and managed to make it all feel fresh and modern.

LUDMILLA

f you’re going to make history at Coachella, it helps to look this good while doing it. This Brazilian beauty is the first Afro-Latina singer and songwriter is take the main stage at the festival! The trailblazer (she’s also openly queer) rocked long boho braids with a smoky eye and nude lip for the occasion. Chef’s kiss!

COI LERAY

Her jet black lace front wig with a middle part, bra-strap length tresses and meticulously applied makeup was perfect for the rapper to debut two new songs.

JHENE AIKO

A sleek low, long and lush ponytail with a middle part and laid baby hair combined with minimal makeup set the tone for this singer’s touching performance.

LAURYN HILL

The legendary rapper and singer took it back to the ’80s with a braids and beads combo that turned heads the way only L-Boogie can!

CHLOE

Ms. Bailey (and her talented hairstylist) continue to show us mere mortals that locs don’t have any limits. We love to see the singer flexing the versatility of this natural hairstyle on such a global level. Her impeccable makeup and nails kept this look smoking hot.

DOJO CAT

Why limit yourself to one jaw-dropping Coachella look when you can have two? As the first female rapper to headline at Coachella, Dojo Cat made sure her performances were unforgettable. She wowed in an uber long blonde wig with a middle part and stick straight strands and juxtaposed it with her super short, cropped natural ‘do.
