Sun’s out, skin’s out! We all know when the temps heat up it’s time to show some skin but what’s most important is that our skin is healthy and moisturized. In my experience, there’s no quicker way to hydrate than with body oils.

There are many ways to apply body oils but I find that the most effective is right after a shower when your skin is nice and damp. Don’t towel dry off. Instead, grab a bottle of body oil and massage into moist skin. Then, as your skin dries down naturally, the moisture from the body oils sinks in—leaving soft, supple skin. It’s really quite amazing. Feel to reapply during the day, but after using the method above you may find that reapplication is not needed, as the initial hydration usually lasts all day. After years of having dry, sensitive skin, I truly believe body oils have greatly improved it’s condition. Now, my skin is hydrated and moisturized all day long and I never have to reapply.

Here are my favorite tried and true body oils that I think you’ll love.

Proudly Nourishing Oil

Don’t let the packaging fool you. Proudly may say “baby” but it’s for everyone and it’s amazing. This body oil is beyond magical. It’s packed with a replenishing blend of premium plant-based oils (sunflower, jojoba and rosehip), squalene and vitamin E to rejuvenate dry skin and leave a touchable glow. When I run out I find myself quickly repurchasing on my next Target run. It’s that good.

This body oil from Cay Skin keeps your skin moisturized and protected. I love that it’s nutrient packed with skin quenching oil blends of coconut, argan and grapeseed as well as sea moss and squalene. Plus, the packaging is just beautiful.

Crown Me Chic is a small black owned business and their Buttercream Body Oil packs a major punch. Formulated with organic sunflower oil, vitamin E and jojoba oil, this body oil is super nourishing, non-greasy and absorbs quickly. Plus, it smells absolutely delicious.

Saltair Nourishing Body Oil in Exotic Pulp

There’s a reason why Saltair’s body oils are often sold out. They are formulated with a replenishing blend of oils including fermented saururus, kukui, cacay and squalane. This along with a biomimetic blend of plant actives and sea buckthorn oil absorb easiliy and leave skin dewy and glowing. It’s definitely an add to cart situation.

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is good for so many things and moisturizing skin is one of my favorite ways to use it. It hydrates the skin, helps retain moisture, reduces inflammation caused by UVB rays and promotes wound healing. Coconut oil is basically magic.

Derma E Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E oil is epic. It deeply penetrates to renew, repair and condition the skin. It prevents and treats fine lines and wrinkles. My favorite way to use this magical oil is by layering it over another one of the oils above. It feels luxurious on the body and adds the prettiest glow. (Pro tip: I also apply this oil to the back of my hands after I wash them to keep from drying out and to keep them looking youthful.)

You’ve got the 4-1-1 on my personal favorite body oils. Which one’s caught your eye?
