I’m a young black man on a journey to grow out my hair. I’ve experimented with various hairstyles along the way and learned a lot about the various ways to keep my hair healthy. Here’s three products I love from an LA native.

AllDay Locks: Locks&Braid Foam Control

This foam control keeps my braids looking fresh and frizz free. Styling my hair with this product helps extend the life of my hairstyle.

Taliah Waajid: Scalp Soothing Braid Spray

Itch where? I highly recommend this spray to give your hair the oils and nutrients it needs. After three days with a new style I often experience an itchy irritated scalp. This spray helps soothe my scalp after getting fresh braids.

Yadain Cultural Solutions: Olive Oil, Sage & Tea Tree Hair Conditioning Balm

This balm is great when my hair isn’t braided for ensuring my hair and scalp gets all the nutrients, oils, and minerals it needs.

From oiling to shampooing and conditioning, each product I use serves its own purpose. I’ve learned a lot about how to take care of my hair texture on this journey and hopefully these recommendations will help you on your journey too.
