Shani’s journey to skincare began with her personal struggles as a teen with hyperpigmentation. Her mom took her to a dermatologist, who prescribed retinol as an effective solution. Shani ended up working for a dermatologist for many years, and eventually become an aesthetician. She also turned to retinol to improve her clients’ skin. The issue however was the irritation that often accompanies the usage of retinol. So, Shani took the matter into her own hands and started working with a chemist to create her own formulations, gentle enough not to irritate, yet still powerful enough to noticeably improve the skin. Her results were highly effective––she tested, perfected, and sold her product out of her West Hollywood home/skincare studio for over a decade. But now her award-winning, celebrity-loving, products are available at Sephora.
