We just saw Beyonce’s Renaissance film and in one of the first moments of the concert footage we were almost blinded by the superstar’s blinged out eyelids. It was a beautiful accent to her makeup and left an unforgettable touch. That left us thinking, what if we rocked a touch sparkle on our eyes, too?
The quickest and easiest way to bling up your lids is with highlighter since you most likely already have it in your makeup arsenal. We chatted with celebrity makeup artist Andrea Samuels who gave us some tips on how she uses highlighter on her red carpet clients. “If I want to make the eyes appear bigger, I add highlighter in the water line. If I want to create a glossy effect on the eyes without using actual gloss, you can place highlighter right over your eyelid so it highlights the bulbous shape of your eye. When you place the highlighter on a specific area of your eyes, it can actually change your eye shape and make it appear larger!” Yes, please.
