The Best Hair Dryers for Curly and Coily Hair Types

It’s time to accept the truth: not all hair tools were made equally. And by that, we mean not all hair tools work on every hair type.

Tracee Ellis Ross’ hair care brand, Pattern, released their hair dryer earlier this year and it was e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g curly-haired girlies needed in life. It was sleek and fashionable and had long-lasting AC motors, customizable airflow, and three heat settings for easy, damage-free drying. The dryer’s key feature, however, was its dual-locking mechanism that prevented dryer attachments from falling off when in use.

I can’t count the number of times when I’m drying my textured coils and the comb attachment falls off (and sometimes breaks). Finding a dryer that ensures its attachments are safely secured is, well, an immediate buy. Don’t just take my word for it either, a reviewer also agreed, writing “I love the sturdy attachments that lock into place. No more frustrating stop and starts because the attachments on this blow dryer lock firmly in place!”
