It’s the biggest family reunion in curl history! Launched in 2014, Curlfest is an event celebrating Black people, Black beauty and natural hair. After taking a 3 year hiatus the mega-event took place July 15th on Randall’s Island in NYC. Curlfest’s goal has always been to continue to provide immersive safe spaces for Black people and give them a space to be celebrated unconditionally.

At Curlfest attendees enjoyed an exclusive array of beauty brands, surprise performers and also most importantly, an introduction to over 100 small Black-owned businesses. One of the most exciting parts of Curlfest is seeing what everyone wears. Between the beautiful natural hairstyles, colorful outfits and standout makeup, it’s truly a place where you can show your amazing personal style.
