The Celebrity Beauty Brands We’re Currently Crushing On

Here’s what’s worth trying for yourself.

Celebrity beauty brands

Celebrity names appear across products in retail categories all over the board, endorsing their tried-and-true “secrets” and routines. But their famous names are not always enough to ensure they’re releasing products that actually work. However, when celebrities get a product line right, they really get it right, and suddenly we find ourselves in a fan frenzy, collecting new hair and beauty favorites faster than we can find room to store them.

These seven celebrity hair and beauty product lines are churning out collection after collection of must-haves with attributes ranging from health-conscious, and environmentally-friendly, to mission-backed and science-led. But what they all have in common is that we are currently crushing on these thriving beauty brands.

Pattern Beauty

Silk press season has ended and we’re in our twist-out, braid-out, protective style era for summer. Thank goodness everybody’s favorite Auntie, Tracee Ellis Ross, has us covered on everything for cleansing, protecting, and styling curly, kinky textured hair. Pattern Beauty has been a welcome addition to our wash day and styling routines for year-round care, but for summer, we recommend the care products for protective styles, like the scalp serum to calm an itchy scalp, or the strong hold gel for creating styles meant to last.

Fenty Skin / Fenty Beauty

Let’s face it, Rihanna wins at everything. And when she wins, we win, especially when it comes to sister brands Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty. Rihanna has given us brown girl beauty in all the right shades, with all the right attributes to make melanated skin supple, healthy, and glowing. Fenty Skin helps us keep our palettes clean and moisturized, getting us closer to that natural island gal glow. While Fenty Beauty comes in and sets off the glam.

Even with the limited releases and new products, the Skin Start’rs Full-Size Cleans’r, Fat Water, and SPF 30 moisturizer still have us very much in a chokehold. And please believe the Cheeks Out Cream Bronzer and Poutsicle Hydrating Lip Stain from Fenty Beauty will be on repeat all summer.

Sienna Naturals

We loved watching Issa Rae rock one dope natural style after the next on Insecure, so it’s only fitting that we were equally excited when she shared her approach to her hair and brought the products she loves to market for us to shop as well. Sienna Naturals promises clean, responsibly sourced hair care to help our curls be at their healthiest. It’s the perfect season to test out their Dream Curl Set + Refresh Ritual for extending the life of curly summer styles or their new Dream Curl Cream for definition and hold.

Honest Beauty

Jessica Alba has said Honest Beauty was born out of a love for her family, and all our beauty cabinets have benefited! The collection of easily accessible clean skin and makeup products at drugstore prices—not to mention the ultra-chic packaging—has made us fans. Our favorites for everyday, easy beauty include the double-sided mascara + lash primer, the deeply pigmented liquid eyeliner, and the moisturizing tinted lip balm that gives just a kiss of color to the lips.

Rare Beauty

We love that Selena Gomez’s makeup line, Rare Beauty, is makeup with a message. Rare Beauty has a solid line of high-quality products that are vegan and cruelty-free, which, on its own, would be enough to have us reaching for our credit cards. But add in the brand’s mission to make beauty a safe space—and that they’re donating a percentage of proceeds each year to expand mental health services in underserved communities—and you’ve got a can’t-miss formula. We love the Positive Light Under Eye Brightener for making tired eyes look more awake after too much fun in the sun.

About Face Beauty

If your goal is standout glam this summer, Halsey’s About Face is your bright, bold, and colorful vibe. The vegan, clean, and cruelty-free makeup is all about empowering you to shape your unique self-expression with highly pigmented, highly saturated, high-performance products. Shimmer all season with their Glitter Eye Paint.

OAM Skin

Ciara has nailed her niche in the beauty space with OAM Skin, a line of Vitamin C-enhanced products, for brighter skin and instant glow-up. The clinical strength formulas are paraben, sulfate, fragrance, and dye-free, so all they leave behind are results. We love a good serum, and OAM’s 2023 Essence Best In Black Beauty award-winning 20% Vitamin C Brightening Serum is currently on our must-try list.
