It’s that time again: New York Fashion Week. The city is buzzing with fashion shows, presentations, events and more. While there’s tons of movers and shakers out and about this week, it can be said that models are the busiest this season, racing from casting to casting and then numerous fittings. And we haven’t even gotten to show day! Whew! Amidst the chaos of NYFW, we were lucky to catch up with stunning Jamaican model and singer Nefatari and get a peek into her Prada bag. Here’s what we found!

NARS Lipgloss in Pulsion– “Pulsion is a pink color and very pigmented which I love because it gives a natural look for me because my lips are pink, but it also has a kick of color since it’s not exactly clear or sheer.”
Mugler Alien Perfume Travel Size – “I love that it’s super small and can fit in my little bag. I get sooo many compliments on this perfume that I got a travel size to bring with me everywhere and a regular size that I keep at home.”
Repurposed Louis Vuitton Mini Wallet by Sparkl Bands – “I love it because it is pretty unique and its sustainable fashion. Sparkl takes designer bags and makes new products out of them. My wallet also comes with a designer band that it’s attached to that helps me not to lose it. I tend to misplace my wallet a lot!”
Black heels – “It’s fashion week so I’ve been going to castings and need a pair of black heels when giving the casting directors my walk!”
Reflect Beauty: What bag are you currently wearing?
Nefatari: Prada black nylon bag. I’m obsessed. It’s big enough for me to wear on a Saturday running errands, but small enough for me to wear to the club LOL.
RB: How long have you been a singer and model?
N: I’ve been pursuing modeling for about 5 years now and music for at least 10 years. I started as a background singer for Lindsay Lohan and Emma Bunton, then was in a girl group. After being part of two girl groups, I decided to pursue music as a solo artist and songwriter.
RB: What are your favorite makeup brands?
N: I’ve found a great complexion match with NARS Cosmetics foundation and my friends also swear by NARS. I also think KISS, Dior, and Maybelline have great mascara. Both brands really make your eyelashes look thick and a bit longer, which I love.
RB: What are some things about yourself that you find most beautiful?
N: I love my smile and my heart. I’m a very empathetic and kind person, maybe sometimes too empathetic lol. I also love that I stayed true to myself and live the life that I love, which is not always easy to do.
RB: Where do you get your confidence?
N: I think I built confidence from watching my parents growing up. Watching their resilience. I also listen to a lot of motivational speakers and videos on Youtube and read a lot of books on how to be successful in life and your career. One of my favorite books is Success is Not an Accident by Tom Newberry.
RB: What inspires you each day?
N: What inspires me is hearing other people tell me that I inspire them. That means the world to me. I think that’s what this whole life thing is all about. How are you or your talents affecting others? What are you contributing to the world?
