Asian women were rarely given covers of glossy fashion magazines or ad spots alongside pop stars prior to Lucy stepping on the scene. She created her own lane as a Chinese-American actress and therefore created opportunities for other young women of color behind her. She also did this while embracing her natural features and her culture. We love to see it!
