As one of the few remaining stars from the “Golden Age” of Hollywood (Moreno was born in 1931), this Puerto Rican bombshell paved the way for not just younger actresses like Jennifer Lopez, but all women of color in entertainment. A triple threat who can sing, dance and act, she was unapologetically Boricua! at a time when that was a statement, and that in itself is beautiful.
