With “outside” officially opening back up, expect this summer season to be lit. That, of course, includes more fun under the sun. And, while most of us know the importance of protecting our skin with SPF sunscreen, we often forget to prep and protect our hair, as well.

Sure, those natural sun-kissed highlights look amazing, but the sun damage can wreak havoc on our tresses, causing dry and brittle strands, broken or split ends, and even thinning. But, don’t fret. We are all about living our best hair life. So, read on for a few tips to keep your hair healthy and hydrated.

Ditch The Heat

Avoid as much heat on your hair as possible in the warmer months. The sun will already dry out your hair more naturally than in the winter, so opt for hairstyles that embrace your hair’s natural texture and require minimal heat application.
