Break THIS Natural Hair Habit in 2021!

Bad hair habits. The terrible, horrible, no good, very bad things we do (or don’t do) to our hair when no one is looking. Or shoot, even when they are sometimes!  We all have them.
My number one offense is pulling and snapping off single strand knots with my fingernails if I can’t find scissors. *GASP!* Yes, it’s true. It’s atrocious. I just can’t stand to leave the little evil knot there so I break it off even though the sound of my hair snapping makes me crazy and it creates even more damage.
So with the new year here, I think I’ll make a New Year Hair Resolution to never never EVER do that again. Okay, okay…. I’ll TRY not to do it again, lol. I’ll keep a ‘lil pair of grooming scissors in my bag to help.
So, what’s your bad hair habit? What do you plan to do to break yourself of it in the New Year?
CurlyNikki Responds:
I too snap off single strand knots with my finger nails!  Such a horrible habit! I also impulsively cut off inches of my hair at once due to finding one, maybe two splits or knots. On the one hand, I need to continue toting my scissors around to keep from snapping off strands (yes I carry hair shears in my bag, right next to my hot sauce), but on the other hand, I need to pitch them to prevent my impulsive chops. This year, I’m going to store my scissors in a drawer, and only trim every two months or so. It will be a scheduled ‘search and destroy’, with the intention to remove splits or knots…not to hack away several inches!
