Diversity
McGrath has often mentioned buying makeup with her mom in the ‘70s and ‘80s when there were limited makeup options for women of color. Through her line, she works to ensure her pigments complement all skin tones, especially darker skin tones.
In addition to diversity in color, she aims to push boundaries in diversity in shape, size, and gender. One way she’s done this is through the models she works with such as plus-size body-positive pioneer Paloma Elsesser, drag queen and burlesque dancer Violet Chachki, and gender-fluid model and makeup artist Miss Fame.
Beyond makeup, McGrath has become a role model for many, including me, to follow their dreams. She is a living example that everything is possible through hard work, creativity, and perseverance. We look forward to her past and future work continuing to inspire and influence society, as a whole, for generations to come.
